Executive Management Biographies

The management and engineering teams have a broad range of expertise.

Eli Fruchter, President and CEO

Mr. Fruchter has served as President and CEO of EZchip Technologies since founding the Company in May 1999. Previously he co-founded LanOptics Ltd. where from 1990 to 1999 he served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Fruchter led LanOptics to a NASDAQ IPO less than three years after the company's inception. Prior to this, he was also among the founders of Adacom Technologies Ltd., a manufacturer of data communications products. Mr. Fruchter holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Dror Israel, CFO

Dror Israel has served as Chief Financial Officer since July 2001. Prior to that he was the Company's financial controller from January 2000 through May 2001 and a financial analyst of the Company from August 1997 through December 1999. Prior to joining LanOptics, Mr. Israel was employed by Hi Group, a holdings company, as a financial analyst. Mr. Israel holds a B.A. degree in economics from Haifa University and a MBA cum laude from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Guy Koren, VP Technology and CTO

Since 2001, Guy Koren has held several positions in EZchip where he was in charge of the traffic manager development, headed the chip development activities and lead the NP-2 project. From 1998 until 2001, he was in charge of chip design for the consumer electronics market at Zoran Microelectronics, and specialized in full custom VLSI chip design. For the preceding 6 years, he specialized in microprocessor design and processor architectures at Intel Corporation. He was also involved in the design of the Intel Pentium MMX and Pentium 4 architectures. Mr. Koren holds a B.Sc. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Amir Eyal, VP Business Development

Before joining EZchip, Mr. Eyal served as Vice President of Marketing at CLASS Data Systems, a start-up providing solutions for network Quality of Service. The company was acquired by Cisco Systems in 1998. From 1996-1997, he was Vice President of Marketing at ORNET Data Communications, a LAN switch vendor. Mr. Eyal was Director of Marketing from 1994-1996 at RND (RAD Network Devices), a router vendor and member of the RAD Group. He also served in product management, pre-sale and post-sale roles at RND from 1988-1994. Previously, Mr. Eyal was a chip design engineer at Clarity, a chip design start-up. Mr. Eyal holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and studied towards MBA at the Tel Aviv University.

Rob O'Hara, VP of Sales

Rob O'Hara joined EZchip in July, 2001 as the VP of North American Sales. Prior to EZchip, he held senior sales management positions at Conexant Systems (now Mindspeed Technologies) and AMD. At Conexant, he directed their worldwide strategic sales effort at Nortel, helping to grow sales over 700% in a three year period. He also managed the Southeastern US sales team during that time. From 1993-1997, he was the Southwest Regional Sales Manager for AMD, having worked as a District Sales Manager for them in the Silicon Valley prior to that. Mr. O'Hara holds a B.Sc. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Eyal Choresh, VP R&D

Eyal Choresh has served as VP Software, Systems & Support and Director of Customer Support since the early days of EZchip. Prior to this, he served as Vice President R&D at NetGuard Ltd., a firewall software company within the LanOptics holdings. From 1994 until 1999, he served as Software Department Manager, Project Manager and VP R&D at LanOptics where he was instrumental in developing routing and switching products. Prior to this Mr. Choresh held various positions in the Adacom Group including the founder and VP of Adacom Network's router company. Mr. Choresh holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Patrick Bisson, VP Technology Applications

Patrick Bisson joined EZchip in November 2002 as Senior Director of Technology. Since then, he has played a key role in securing multiple design wins for EZchip’s products and supporting their deployment in customer applications. Previously, from 1997 to 2002, he served as Director of Software Engineering for Siara Systems and Cerent Corporation. His contribution was instrumental to the acquisitions by Redback Networks and Cisco Systems respectively. For seven years prior, Mr. Bisson held several Software Engineering and Management positions at Alcatel. He holds a M.S. in Computer Science from INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées), Lyon, France.

Doron Vertesh, VP Operations

Doron Vertesh joined EZchip in September 2006 as Vice President of Operations. He has over 15 years of experience in management and operations in the semiconductor industry which includes managing the Manufacturing & QA Group at Oplus (an Intel company), serving as director of the Embedded and Serial Flash Business Units at Saifun Semiconductors, and managing the Backend Engineering and Product Management groups at National Semiconductor. From 1990 through 1997, Mr. Vertesh served in a variety of engineering management positions at Tower Semiconductor. Mr. Vertesh holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
